Who we are

FH Recruitment, Ireland (“FH Recruitment”, “we”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. Questions and requests about your data can be sent to privacy@fhrecruitment.ie.

Candidates and job seekers

When you apply for a role, register with us, set up job alerts or are introduced to us by a referral, we collect the information you provide: name, contact details, location, CV and work history, qualifications and professional registrations, right to work status, salary expectations, preferences, and notes from our conversations with you. We may also hold interview feedback, references you have asked us to take up and records of roles we have discussed with you.

We use this information to assess your suitability for roles, to represent you to employers with your agreement, to keep you informed about relevant opportunities and to comply with our legal obligations as an employment agency. Our lawful bases are the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interests in running a recruitment business, your consent where we rely on it (for example job alert emails and marketing), and legal obligation (for example right to work checks and employment agency record keeping).

We never send your CV to an employer for a specific role without your agreement. If you are placed with an employer, we share the information needed to complete the hire and comply with the law.

Clients and hiring managers

When you brief us on a vacancy or work with us, we hold your business contact details, information about the role and your organisation, and records of our dealings. We use it to deliver our services, manage our relationship and comply with the law. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract and legitimate interests.

Website visitors

Our website uses only essential cookies unless you accept analytics cookies. See the cookie policy. Our hosting provider records technical information such as IP address and browser type in server logs for security and reliability.

How long we keep data

Candidate records are kept for 12 months after our last meaningful contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner, you ask us to keep them longer, or we are required by law to keep certain records (for example records of placements). Client records are kept for the duration of our relationship and for the periods required by tax and company law. Website submissions that have been closed are deleted automatically after the retention period.

Security

Applications, CVs, registrations and vacancy briefs submitted through this website are encrypted before they are stored and can be read only by signed in consultants. Every access, download and export is logged. We use reputable hosting providers within the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, or providers covered by appropriate safeguards.

Sharing and international transfers

We share candidate data with prospective employers only with your agreement, and with service providers who help us run our business (hosting, email, applicant tracking) under contracts that protect your data. Where a role is outside the European Economic Area, your data may be transferred to the employer in that country with your agreement; we will tell you about any safeguards that apply.

Your rights

You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@fhrecruitment.ie. We respond within one month. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
